What is a Pep Rally for Health?

Pep Rallies for Health is a grassroots program created to extend the anti-vape messaging into targeted school districts where vaping is a growing problem. This campaign is designed around the use of grassroots tactics to change teen behavior and attitudes towards e-cigarettes by generating positive peer pressure from sport celebrities, student leaders, and school athletes.
The program includes onsite events at the host schools, with discussions with Hall of Fame athletes (like Darrell Green, formerly from the Redskins) about the dangers of vaping and ways to quit.
School-based initiatives:
- Bring excitement and fun to selected schools statewide.
- Educate teens about the dangers of vaping and promote a vape-free lifestyle..
- Record meaningful conversations about vaping with teens, parents, the guest athlete, and the leadership team.
- Public service recognition program for student leaders and athletes advancing student health initiatives like anti-vaping, in partnership with state efforts.
- Produce long form videos for social media and stake-holder websites.
- Produce PSAs (:15, :30, :60) for media distribution statewide.
- Media advisory distribution to promote the event in the TV/Radio DMAs of the selected school.

What goes on during a Pep Rally?
Welcome

School-based initiatives

Conclusion
